It’s beginning to look at lot like Christmas… especially in Paisley where Pulse 98.4 was on hand to help switch on the town’s festive lights.
Gus and Laura from Pulse Breakfast hosted the event, which saw over 21,000 people wrap up in their winter woolies and head to the town centre.
Those in attendance watched a parade through the streets and enjoyed a day of entertainment and activities, including appearances from X Factor stars Reggie ‘N’ Bollie and, of course, Santa.
11-year-old Taylor McPherson, from St Peter’s Primary School, helped switch on the lights with Renfrewshire Provost Lorraine Cameron after winning the annual Christmas card design competition.
Ms. Cameron said: “The Paisley Christmas Lights Switch-On is one of the big events in the winter calendar and this year didn’t disappoint with a packed programme with something for everyone.
“It was a great way to celebrate the start of the festive season and it was wonderful to see so many families and young people coming into the town to take part in the day.”
Pulse 98.4 has already hosted switch-ons in Giffnock and Clarkston, and will help light up Renfrew on Saturday 23 November.
We’ll also be in Johnstone and our hometown of Barrhead on Saturday 30 November.
