The Blues Show
Show times:
23.00 Thursdays (Repeated through the night at weekends - not sure of the exact repeat times).
About the show:
Blues music plus some chat with co-presenter Mark and interesting blues facts from The Blues Professor (that’s me).
We currently feature a Clapton Corner and a Back-to-Back slot and the music covers everything from Charley Patton to Joe Bonamassa. We also hope to include blues tracks from local musicians.
Biog:
I’m semi-retired, which means that I cannot quite afford to completely retire, but can’t get a job! I’ve been happily married since 1980, and am a non-smoking, classic car loving tee-total guitar player, who occasionally writes poetry for fun and loves dogs. I do occasional volunteer work for the WRVS (They do accept men!).

Describe your perfect day.
Get up quite early, have breakfast in the garden with my wife, looking out over Arran, then walk the dog along a deserted beach. Lunch at my favourite restaurant, followed by a matinee performance of “King Lear”. After tea, off to a Rory Gallagher gig. Back home in time to see the sunset over the Firth of Clyde. All times are subject to compression to fit the chosen day.
What’s in the perfect sandwich?
Homemade wholemeal bread, unsalted butter, mature cheddar cheese, tomatoes from the greenhouse and just a touch of sea salt.
